Science Interactive Instructor Help Guides

What are the minimum technological requirements for accessing my SI course?

Updated on

Science Interactive courses are compatible with and can be accessed on Mac and Windows laptops and desktops (any version), tablets, and smart phones. Recommended browsers are Safari, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox (make sure to have the latest versions). SI Cloud is not compatible with Internet Explorer or Edge.

Some Science Interactive lessons may require students to upload photos of your experiments to Cloud. Photos taken on a smartphone, tablet, or digital camera are sufficient for use in the lessons. Photos must be uploaded in JPG and PNG format. For more information on how to upload an image, see this article.

Some Science Interactive lessons may require students to upload a graph of their results. Graphs can be created using Microsoft Excel or any free graphing program available online. Students may also hand-draw graphs using graphing paper, and then take a photo to upload. Graphs must be uploaded in JPG and PNG format.

Supplemental information in your Science Interactive course may be provided as a PDF. PDFs can be downloaded and opened on any PDF reader (Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, Google Drive, etc.).
