2. Compose the question in the "Compose question" box.
Bold the text so that it matches Science Interactive-authored questions.
3. In "Formula template," enter the formula question that the students will answer.
3.1. Select "Add Math" to open the Edit Math box.
3.2. In the Math formula box, you can enter and format text and numerals.
3.3. Format characters by using formatting buttons on the right.
Formatting options include superscript, subscript, atomic number, and more.
3.4. Once you have entered the desired formula elements, select "OK" at the bottom of the window.
3.5. Place your cursor in the location in the formula that you will challenge students on and select the "Insert response" button.
This creates a response container in the question.
You can repeat this step multiple times to create separate response containers that the students will complete.
4. Scroll down to the "Set correct answer(s)" section and select "+Add" under "Response 1."
5. Enter the correct answer in the "Value" box.
The Math formatting box will appear so that you can make use of the formula formatting options.
6. Select "Save" on the top right side of the page.
This will automatically return you to the Exploration overview page.
7. In the Overview page, scroll to the question you just added and adjust the point value for the question if desired.
If you do not make any changes, the point value will default to 1.
